A series of two dimensional pieces that are made and comprised of rudimentary materials. The materials used are Salt, soil, ash, flocking, charcoal and concrete powder. The wall pieces are encased in archival crystal clear resin and are permanant. Upon first approaching the work they seem to be flat and painterly but upon close inspection are actually cavernous and in relief. Small explosions and unexpected material formations are frozen in time as a result of the chemical properties between the resin and organic matter.
The floor drawings are made of the same materials but not encased in resin.
